Born and raised in Washington County, Maryland, Erika has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families navigate complex legal matters with confidence and empathy.

Erika graduated high school from St. James School in 2001. Her journey into law began at Towson University where she earned her B.S. in Law and American Civilization in 2005. While at Towson, she gained early legal experience interning at a law firm focused on criminal defense, sparking her passion for advocacy.

She continued her legal education at the University of Baltimore School of Law, graduating with her J.D. in 2008. During law school, she honed her courtroom skills as a Rule 16 Student Attorney for the Baltimore City Public Defender’s Office, Juvenile Division and later interned for the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office, Juvenile Division.

After law school, Erika served as a judicial law clerk at the Circuit Court for Washington County, Maryland, from 2008 to 2010. Since then, she has practiced law, focusing primarily on family law. Erika is also a certified mediator and best interest attorney.

Erika is committed to public service as she helps run the Family Law Self-Help Clinic, and is a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission. She also works closely with CASA to provide representation to domestic violence victims.

Erika enjoys spending time with her husband at their farm nestled in the mountains. She loves getting the family together for Sunday dinners, and has a passion for horses, hiking and all things outdoors.
